Contactless questions

Do Google pay, Apple pay etc need a signal to work, I'm told they don't.

Will they hang if, even though a signal may not be required, it is marginal
ie: it defaults to requiring a connection if one is available.

What is the situation if using a Sum Up, Paypal etc to take a payment as those definitely seem to require a connection.
As often they will require the card and pin as I believe the banks require that after five or six contactless transactions as a way of limiting fraud on stolen cards

That was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and I may just have to watch MOTD.
We played really well, unfortunate that Saliba had to get that own goal but encouraging that none of the fans got on his back about it. He seemed to put it out of his mind straight away and went straight back to being confident and solid, for 21 years old that's exceptional.
Nice to see a smile cross his lips when celebrating Jesus goal as well.

Nice to see Martinelli get a well deserved goal.

Popped back online to check the Brentford Man Utd score and did a double take at 4.0.
Yup definitely watching MOTD

Given the length of time anything legal takes in the States Trump will be hanging this out until the 2024 election.

My prediction for that is if he doesn't get the republican nomination he'll stand as 'The real republican party' and will claim victory whatever the result.

Resulting in severe civil unrest that will make Jan 6th look like a church social meeting. We could be witnessing the last days of democracy, such as it is, in America.

We can only hope that the level and type of offences are sufficient to prevent him standing which I'm far from confident will happen.

Trump is the one who went public and already had the details of the warrant and property list but apparently chose to deny it to his son who said he hadn't been given them.

Once the list is released expect Trump to insist anything incriminating was planted.

I suppose because Grease was set in a specific time the idea that she was 73 is what hit home first.
We've watched Travolta age in front of us but her age has always been frozen in that movie.

Well that's a bit better start than last season.
We've started doing what we did last season though and sitting back when we're just one up.
Mind you Saliba looks the real deal. Having signed him so young I didn't realise what unit he was going to turn into, completely unflappable.
Loving Zinchenko and Jesus is going to run rings round some defences.

Couple of instances there from Odegaard and Saka where it needed them not to take a touch and just take the shot on.

Leicester at home next.
I wonder if Tielemans will play
and who for? 🤔🙂

I think it will be a few days until I can comment then.
There's the important matter of the first game of the season and All or Nothing to be dealt with.
A shame if it is meh as if nine is better than ten then that's not saying much.
Particularly as the previous eight were mostly outstanding.

Episode one.
Tempting to skip it. Three matches, 0 points 0 goals but that's when you see what they're all like under pressure.
Ultimately well worth watching I think we'll learn a lot about them all by the end. Some irritation with the editing and the fan comments but it does point out how bloody fickle the fan base can be.

Lets hope the season starts better tomorrow night than the last one.
For me I don't think you could have picked a better fixture to start with.
Not an easy team to play, we only got one point of them last season and they clobbered us in the last one.
Revenge needed and a very good indicator of how much has changed with the new players in and a few out.

Years back took two of my kids to England v Scotland at Prenton Park.
Seats just a couple of rows back near the halfway line.
Can still remember the 'bloody hell' impression as Faye White took ball and player, legally, off the pitch.
Women have been tackling that hard for ages.
